There are a ton of great food options around our office, and they’re constantly changing. Here’s a list of our classic staples for DTLV:
Walking Distance:
- Evel Pie – Slice and a beer for $5.
- The Market – That little corner store has the best chicken salad sandwich we’ve ever had.
- Cous Cous – Walk up Fremont a few yards for a good quick pickup shawarma.
- Shinya Maru – Finally, a good ramen place downtown.
- The Pie – Really good pizza. The second-best gluten-free pizza we’ve ever had, if you’re into that.
- Turmeric – An Indian restaurant on Fremont. The best Indian food option around.
- Eat – Great salads and brunch.
- Bomb Tacos – Their quesadilla is… well… bomb.
- Le Thai – It’ll be wonderful again once it re-opens. Until then you can drive to the one on Rancho & Craig
- Flippin’ Good Burgers – It’s more like Flippin’ Average Burgers, but if you’re craving an alright chicken sandwich, it’ll do.
- El Buen Pastor – “Just give me all the al pastor you have.” -~Ron Swanson~ Me
- Bocho Sushi – They’re priced about 30% higher than other sushi places in town, but they’re a block away. Go after 3pm for their happy hour, prices are more reasonable.
- Cheffinis – A nice little “build your own” hot dog stand inside Container Park.
- Oak & Ivy – Scotch is a meal, right?
Driving Distance:
- Bajamar Tacos (LVB) – Best seafood tacos/tostadas in Vegas.
- Le Pho Vietnamese Kitchen (Bonneville) – Good/cheap lunch pho.
- Boston Pizza – Seriously, they serve wings by the bucket. Best. Day. Ever.
- Viva Las Arepas – Venezuelan sandwiches. Seriously, peep their Yelp.
- Vesta Coffee – I mean, we all know about Vesta, right? Best drip in downtown.
- Esther’s Kitchen – Hand-baked sourdough, homemade pasta. Best new restaurant in Vegas, easy.
- PublicUs – Some call it overpriced girl food. Not necessarily wrong. At least it’s good overpriced girl food.
- Curry Zen – Best Japanese curry in town.
- KoMex Fusion Express – Korean meats in Mexican dishes. It’s pretty damn great.
- Mt. Everest – Indian restaurant inside an old Burger King. They have tasty lunch buffets.
- The Egg & I – Breakfast!
- Fat Boy – A good greasy spoon place for burgers and chicken fingers. Not fancy, but quality.
- Le Thai – It’s a tiny place, seats maybe 20 people. Go after the lunch rush for better odds at getting a seat.
- Tacos El Gordo – They have a shuttle that takes tourists from their hotels to their restaurant. There’s a reason for that.
- Los Tacos – Next door to Tacos El Gordo, it’s becoming a point of argument as to who’s got the better food.
- Rollin’ Smoke BBQ – Arkansas-style BBQ (sauce). Try their meatloaf, not joking.
- El Dorado Mexican Cantina – Ignore the fact that it shares the building with the Sapphire Gentleman’s Club. They’ve got some outstanding Mexican grub.
- Pollo Inka Express – Peruvian food, mainly chicken dishes. Very tasty.
- Luv-It Frozen Custard – They’ve been open since 1973, with a rotating selection of frozen custard concoctions every day. A wonderful little sweet treat.
